Welcome to Threads of Time by Ruth, a handmade business operated by A Flicker of Time LLC. These terms apply to purchases made through this website. Please review them before placing an order.

Handmade Products

Our quilts, crocheted blankets, and other textile items are handmade. Small variations in stitching, texture, pattern placement, and measurements are part of the handmade process. These variations do not excuse defects or substantial differences from the item description.

We make every effort to show colors accurately, but colors may appear differently on different screens. Please review the description, measurements, materials, and care instructions before purchasing.

Orders and Payment

Full payment is required before an order ships or work begins on a custom item. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.

If an item becomes unavailable or a listing contains a significant error, we will contact you before proceeding. If we cannot fulfill your order, we will refund your payment.

Custom and Made-to-Order Items

Custom orders must be paid in full before work begins. The design, colors, size, price, and estimated shipping time will be agreed upon before payment.

Please check all personalization details carefully. Changes requested after approval may affect the price and completion date and may not be possible once work has begun.

Custom and personalized items cannot be returned or exchanged because of a change of mind. This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, is defective, or does not match the agreed order.

Cancellations

Please contact us promptly if you need to cancel. Ready-made orders may be canceled before shipment.

Custom orders may be canceled for a full refund before materials have been purchased specifically for your order or production has begun. After that point, change-of-mind cancellations are not accepted, except where required by law.

If we cannot fulfill your order or meet the agreed shipping schedule, applicable cancellation and refund rights still apply.

Processing and Shipping

Processing times are listed in the product description or agreed upon for custom orders. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.

If we cannot ship within the promised timeframe, we will contact you with a revised shipping date and the option to accept the delay or cancel for a full refund.

Please provide a complete and accurate shipping address. Contact us immediately about address corrections. Additional shipping charges caused by an incorrect address supplied by the customer may be the customer’s responsibility.

Carrier delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. If a package is delayed, missing, or marked delivered but cannot be located, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier.

Returns and Exchanges

For ready-made, non-personalized items, contact us within 14 days of delivery to request a return. Approved returns must be sent within 14 days after approval.

Change-of-mind returns must be unused, unwashed, and in their original condition. The customer pays return shipping. Original shipping charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns.

After we receive and inspect an eligible return, we will issue the refund to the original payment method within 7 business days. Your payment provider may require additional time to post it.

Please contact us before returning an item so we can provide the correct return address. Contact us about exchanges; availability may be limited.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please contact us promptly if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. Include your order number and photographs if possible, and retain the packaging for shipping-damage claims.

We will arrange an appropriate remedy, such as a repair, replacement, or refund. We cover necessary return shipping when the problem is our responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits rights provided by applicable consumer law.

Care and Safe Use

Follow the care instructions provided with your item. Damage caused by improper washing, misuse, or normal wear is not a manufacturing defect.

Keep blankets, quilts, pillows, and other soft items out of an infant’s sleep space. Decorative items are not toys unless specifically described as such.

Website Content and Designs

Our original photographs, written descriptions, branding, and original designs may not be copied or used commercially without permission. Designs credited to other creators remain the property of their respective owners. Purchasing a finished item does not transfer rights to reproduce its pattern or design.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms provided when you place your order will apply to that purchase.
